Peer Review Process
Manuscript submission is managed through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform or via email. Every submitted article will first be screened by the editor before being sent to at least two independent reviewers. The journal uses a blind peer-review system, meaning that authors will not know the identity of the reviewers.
Reviewers provide feedback, particularly regarding the scientific content, which must be addressed and revised promptly by the authors. Revised manuscripts should be resubmitted through the OJS system and/or by email (ejurnalbioua@gmail.com). Editors and reviewers will perform a final check before the article proceeds to publication. Once accepted for publication, authors will be required to complete administrative processes, including fee payment.
Publication Frequency
The first issue of JBioUA was published in November 2012. Initially, the journal published two issues per volume. From 2013 to 2015, the frequency increased to four issues per volume, before returning to two issues per volume starting in 2016. This frequency remains in effect to this day.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that making research freely available supports a wider global exchange of knowledge.
